PrintingSet up your first print

Open a saved label from your dashboard, then choose Print. Confirm the exact printer model, DPI, media size and installed options. Follow the setup guide in the print window, send one test label, and check its alignment and barcode scan before a batch.

PrintingPreview or convert a label file

Convert PDF and images to raster ZPL, or combine selected ZPL labels into a PDF, locally in your browser. Previews and ZPL, PNG and PDF downloads are prepared locally in your browser. These browser previews and downloads do not upload label content for rendering.

PrintingMy printer is not found

Check power, cable and permissions. Direct USB needs Chrome or Edge over HTTPS and an available USB interface. Windows drivers, macOS printer queues or Linux permissions can block access. Keep managed drivers in place; try Zebra Browser Print or the system print dialog.

PrintingLabels are blank or faint

Confirm the media is loaded correctly and matches direct thermal or thermal transfer mode. Thermal transfer needs a compatible ribbon. Follow the printer’s calibration procedure; then adjust darkness and speed using its manual. Check one label before retrying a batch.

PrintingThe label is shifted, clipped or the wrong size

Match the document width, height and DPI to the printer and stock. In the system dialog, choose the exact paper size and 100% / actual size, with automatic fitting disabled. Calibrate the gap or black-mark sensor using the manufacturer’s procedure.

PrintingA barcode will not scan

Check the encoded value, required digits and check digit. Leave clear space around the symbol, use whole printer dots for its modules, and avoid shrinking it in the print dialog. Adjust contrast and test with the intended scanner. A screen preview does not prove a physical scan.

API & integrationsConnect a script or resolve an API error

The API works with personal saved labels and requires Pro access. Use a scoped key and Vector ZPL for variable data. For 429, wait the Retry-After delay. The /print operation returns ZPL for your transport; it does not send a remote printer job.

Your dataWhere does my label data go?

Previews and ZPL, PNG and PDF downloads are prepared locally in your browser. These browser previews and downloads do not upload label content for rendering. Imported files stay in your browser. Saving a design stores its content with your account. PNG/PDF requests to the public API are rendered by ZPLCraft on our own servers. Printing sends data from your device to your printer.

Live availability is not measured on this page. We have no public monitoring feed or published uptime guarantee here. A working page or build identifier is not proof that saving, rendering or printing works. Email support with the time and affected action.

These are supported software paths, subject to your browser, driver and printer. Check the options detected in the print window.

Direct USB · WebUSB

Desktop Chrome / Edge

HTTPS, explicit permission and a compatible USB interface the OS has not claimed. Windows drivers, macOS queues and Linux permissions may prevent access. Safari and Firefox do not provide WebUSB.

Zebra Browser Print

Zebra-supported Windows / macOS setups

Install and run Zebra’s helper, allow the site and select the printer. Check Zebra’s current browser and OS requirements. It can use the existing Windows printer driver.

System print dialog

Chrome / Edge / Safari / Firefox on supported computers

An installed OS printer or PDF destination. Set the paper size and actual-size scaling. This prints a rendered page, so verify barcode size and scans.

Mobile and managed-device printing depends on platform policy. Start with a desktop setup. The custom ZPLCraft local connector has no public production installer.

For another ZPL-capable printer, use a custom profile and verify it yourself. EPL or CPCL support on a printer does not make this app generate those languages.
